Last weekend Richard ‘The Hunter’ Dalby-Smith took part in the first round of the Fueltopia Barrel Sprint. Richard isn’t the sort of guy that just turns up though, he WON.

Richard’s Nissan S13, which Safely Insured sponsor, was prepped and ready for the day and looking mightily impressive for the 2015 season. The Fueltopia event isn’t just about flat out speed but also a test of driving skill so the car has to be modified and set up to deliver the power and control that the driver needs

The Fueltopia Barrel Sprint is a cross between Gymkhana, Drag Racing and Drifting focusing on skill and driving technique than just putting power through the wheels

The drivers have three barrels that they must navigate round (full 360 degrees). After qualifying the fastest 16 were then entered into a knock-out style tournament, and Richard and his Safely Insured sponsored S13 won.
