On Friday 21st August, many of us here at Safely Insured took part in a Fancy Dress themed fundraising event for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. The day was a chance for employees to come to work in Fancy Dress to help raise money and awareness for a great cause. In total, we managed to raise £135 and all of the proceeds will be going to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice!

Fancy Dress

Fancy Dress FundraisingIf you remove the ‘fancy’ then you’re left with a dress, right? As well as raising money for the hospice, we also held an internal competition at Sky for the best dressed individual.

The winner of this was Dan, who decided to come to work dressed as a woman for the day. He borrowed a dress and a wig, got a few of the girls to help out with his make-up and danced around the place all day long (although this isn’t something new, he always likes to be the centre of attention).

We can’t say he was the prettiest girl we’ve ever seen but hey, at least he tried!

There were lots of other fancy dress ideas put into practice throughout the day. The office consisted of; a Mermaid, Elsa from Frozen, a pirate by the name of Jack Sparrow, a Shark, Little Red Riding Hood, Catwoman, Minions, Batman and many many more.
