This Sunday, Safely Insured’s learner driver insurance brand – InsureLearnerDriver – are hosting the first of their ‘Learn to Drive with Parents’ events. The first event will be held at Kent’s Central Park Stadium, and the day is shaping up to be one to remember.

What’s happening?

Safely Insured will be hosting two FREE learner driver events this May, designed to test those currently learning to drive on some of the key driving skills required for passing their driving test.

Event Venues:

  1. Kent – Central Park Stadium – Sunday 8th May
  2. Hertfordshire – Bovingdon Airfield – Sunday 22nd May

A number of purpose built courses will be created to simulate common driving scenarios, ranging from the simple (such as the initial move off) to the more complex (the uphill start).

Learners will have all afternoon to put their driving skills to the test and take advantage of the on-hand qualified driving instructors.

Bring your parents!

These events are more than just free driving lessons; they are an opportunity for all the family to attend.

The event asks for learners to bring a parent (or guardian) to act as their supervisor, and to borrow said parent’s car to practice in. This is a prime opportunity for learners to show off the skills they have learnt so far, and for parents to share their own knowledge.

We aim to highlight the benefits of practising privately in addition to taking professionally instructed lessons.

What is ‘Learn to Drive with Parents’ week?

This week celebrates parents sharing their knowledge with learners and highlights the savings benefits of combining professional lessons with private practice. By using a combination of both professional driving lessons and private practice you can reduce the amount of time and money it takes to get that coveted full licence.

How does driving with a parent benefit a learner driver?

In an ongoing study by InsureLearnerDriver around 90% of participants said that private practice made them more confident drivers and helped them feel ready to take their test sooner.

There are many benefits to practising privately:

  • The ability to practice your driving when it is convenient for you
  • The chance to practice for as long as you want
  • The chance to practice at odd times of day

These are just a few of the benefits you could experience from private practice.

How can I start saving?
