Russell’s Toyota Supra RZ TT6 has a 3.0 litre, twin-turbo engine. Currently giving out 320BHP, Russell has added minimal modifications to the car. He wants to try and retain as much of the originality of it as possible.

So far, Russell has changed the exhaust and has invested in seat covers in order to protect the rare, original, immaculate Recaro seats.

Like many of our customers, Russell has been a fan of cars for as long as he can remember. We’re always interested to know just how long our customers have been into the car scene. We asked Russell some questions, here’s the answers…

Russell: Modified Cars Q&A

When did you first discover that you had an interest in cars? “As soon as I found out what a car was. Literally, I can’t remember how young I was, but I know I’ve always liked cars.”

What was the first car you ever owned? “My first ever car was a gold Opel Manta GTE.”

Do you use any garages in specific to do work on your car? “A lot of my friends are great when it comes to cars. They know a lot and can do a lot. Therefore, I trust them more than anyone to carry our work on my car. I also regularly use the Mkivsupra.net forum. There’s some great discussions / cars on there.”

Is your car famous (has it ever been featured anywhere)? “Ha ha afraid not – however, the Facebook page of the importer did share it.”

Do you have any advice for a first-time modifier? “If you want power, buy a fast car then modify that, don’t modify a slow one to make it go faster. Advice really depends on what you want to achieve with the car. But whatever you do – don’t rush into making any decisions.”

If money was no option what car would you buy? “I would buy a Lexus LFA, because, have you seen it?”

Do you have any plans to further modify your car? “I’ll probably invest in a new set of headlights. Apart from that, I want to keep it as standard as possible due to its rarity.”
