It’s time to meet Rob, and Mike. Who’s Mike? Mike’s his modified Ford Focus RS.

Over the years, Rob has owned many cars (all Ford related) but we think he has finally found the one he’ll settle with. Let’s find out what makes this car so special to him…

Rob and his modified Ford Focus RS

“My name’s Rob and I’ve owned Mike (my modified Ford Focus RS) for 3 years. I have always been a fan of fast fords, starting out with a 1.1 Mk3 Fiesta (okay – not so fast). Then I upgraded to a 1.6 Mk5 Fiesta Zetec S, followed by a Mk6 Fiesta Zetec S. The story doesn’t stop there – after the Mk6, I went onto a Mk1 Focus RS, then onto a 1.0 litre Zetec S. The last car I owned before my current one was a black Fiesta ST180. Now, I own Mike – finally!

I have always had a fascination with cars – I just can’t seem to leave them alone. My cars normally last about 2 years (maximum) before I get bored. But when it comes to Mike… I simply cannot let go of him – there’s just something about the way the car drives that keeps me interested!

It is currently running at 407bhp and limited to 440lbs of torque. This is all thanks to the following:

Mongoose 3inch downpipe and 100 cel sports cat
Miltek cat back system
Autospecialists cais
Autospecialists plenum
Mountune intercooler
650cc Bosch injectors
Turbosmart BOV
Autospecialists oil breather kit
Wayside custom map

Other modifications include:

Rota GTR 19″ wheels
H&R 30mm lowering springs
SCC grooved front and back discs
Ferodo ds2500 pads
Carbon fibre bonnet vents, mirror covers and bonnet strip
Wayside side logos
Red RS badges
Mike wazowski stickers
The engine bag is decorated with carbon fibre and hydrodipped pieces
TRC front splitter
Bespoked rear splitter

All in all, I’ve spent a lot of money on this car – about 10k (and it keeps rising) but it’s worth it… it’s my pride and joy. On that note, I’d like to say a huge thanks to my girlfriend for putting up with my car parts everywhere haha.
