Customer Cars: Rebecca and Mark’s Nissan Avenir GT4-Z

This month, it’s all about Nissan! Our customers, Rebecca and Mark, own one of the extremely rare Nissan Avenir GT4-Z models.

Rebecca took the time to tell us all about the Avenir GT4-Z. Her and her partner, Mark, don’t own just this car either, they also own another very special Nissan model. You’ll have to continue reading to find out which one it is!

The Nissan Avenir GT4-Z

Here’s what Rebecca had to say…

“This is our Nissan Avenir GT4-Z. Many people mistake it for either a Subaru Legacy or a Nissan Stagea, but you’ll be surprised to find that it’s more closely related to the Nissan Primera and Bluebird. In fact, it replaced the Bluebird wagon.

The Avenir GT4-Z is powered by it’s own variation of the SR20DET producing 227bhp with a factory fitted large front mount intercooler as standard. It has an early version of the famous Attessa system, meaning it’s permanently AWD. For an estate it’s not too heavy either. It’s roughly 60kg heavier than an R32 GTR. Nissan have always been good at making cool cars out of their spare parts department back at Nissan HQ and this is certainly an example of that!

We have yet to see or even hear of another GT4-Z but we know there was four in the UK at one point. Two of which were not the GT4-Z spec (non turbos) and the third vehicle hasn’t been taxed or MOT’d since 2013, so going from that ours is the only GT4-Z on the road today.

The Avenir shares our driveway with another special Nissan of ours, Godzilla himself. Our 1993 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR.

Both of which are spoilt and driven in prime weather conditions only!”
