Audi TT-RS

In this blog article, we catch up with another one of our customers who had a special feature in our Safely Insured Trump Cards!

A short while ago, we caught up with one of our valued customers, Chris, who recently had his Audi TT-RS featured in our Trump Cards. At the time of interview, Chris had only owned his TT-RS for just three months, but he had already made a significant mark upon it.

The Audi TT-RS

Luckily for us, Chris told us all there is to know about his wonderful car.

Chris told us the reason for buying this car was because he fancied something different with more power. Looking for something different with more power than his previous car, an Audi RS3, Chris found the TT-RS.

For Chris, the main appeal of the TT-RS is the fact that it shares the same engine as his previous RS3, but also has the added benefits of being lighter, more agile, and lower to the ground: “It fit the bill for me as it had the same solid non-OPF DAZA engine as my RS3, and because it was already Stage 3 with performance parts, 150kg+ lighter, more agile and lower; I knew it was going to be a hell of a car.’

A hell of a car indeed. A car like this is bound to get a reaction from people – especially since it’s Stage 3 and churns out a hefty amount of noise. The TT-RS is a head-turner, both for its looks and its sound.

‘It does turn a lot of heads, often because people hear it before they see it!’ enthused Chris when we interviewed him, ‘When they see it, they know it’s a special car that has been tastefully modified, both mechanically for fast road driveability, and visually in keeping the OEM+ look.’

Future Plans for the TT-RS?

At the time of interview Chris had only had the car for three months, so hadn’t had much of a chance to do much with it yet. However, he does have some plans in mind for the future: ‘I would like to take it to Bruntingthorpe and the Nurburgring to experience its full potential!’

Why Modify?

We always love to hear a backstory from our customers as to how they got into modifying cars; so we of course had to ask Chris what made him start this hobby. Chris revealed that his fascination with modified cars dates back to the era of Max Power, a renowned UK car magazine known for its coverage of customized vehicles: ‘I’ve always admired modified cars from the Max Power days  – and always wanted fast and powerful cars. For me this ticks all the boxes.’

A special Thank you to Chris for sharing his automotive story and for allowing us to showcase his modified Audi TT-RS.
