The Safely Insured Customer Modified Car of the Year competition is back, and we’re even more excited than ever to showcase the incredible talent and dedication of our modified car community.

Have you spent countless hours wrenching, tuning, and customising your dream machine? It’s time to let your car shine in the spotlight! This competition is your chance to win bragging rights, a fantastic prize package, and the title of Safely Insured’s ultimate car enthusiast.

In previous years we’ve had all sorts of cars enter the competition, from a highly modified Nissan Pulsar, to an incredibly modified Nissan GT-R. Previous winners include a 700bhp Toyota Supra and an immaculate Nissan 200sx.

Who will win this year? Well, that’s all down to which cars enter the competition.

We’ll get to that soon, but for now let’s recap how the competition works.

 

What is the Safely Insured Customer Modified Car of the Year Competition?

We encourage entries from all marques from meticulous restorations to innovative modern marvels; both modified and performance cars are eligible.

Once the selection of modified car entries is complete – we will open it up to the community of car enthusiasts to decide the top five! Then we hand it over to the experts – with Phil Morrison of Driftworks being our guest judge this year.

How does the competition work?

Entering your car into the competition is easy. All you have to do is email us at [email protected] with the following information:

• Your full name
• Full make and model of your car (including the registration)
• 2-4 pictures of your car
• Brief list of modifications
• Engine size and BHP / power output
• A sentence describing what you love about your car the most

The deadline for entries will be at 5pm on Monday 29th April. Following the submission period, we will carefully review all entries and notify those who have made it through to the public voting stage.

Once the public vote is closed, we will take the top 5 popular voted cars and use a panel of specialists to decide on the winner. They will take an unbiased view of each car, and decide a winner and 2 runner ups.

So, dust off your camera, polish your pistons, and get ready to show us what you’ve got!

 

The prizes

• First Prize: £250 from Safely Insured to spend at the Driftworks shop
• Second Prize: 2x tickets for this year’s Ford Fair on 11th August

Who won the last competition? 

The last Safely Insured Customer Car of the Year Competition was won by Safely Insured Customer Emily and her modified Vauxhall Astra H VXR, with Sean’s Ford Fiesta ST180 running up in second, and Stuart’s Volkswagen Golf R STG2 taking third place.

The Terms and Conditions of the Safely Insured Customer Car of the Year Competition

To enter this competition, you must be a current customer of Safely Insured. All entries must be submitted via email. The deadline for submitting your entry into the competition is Monday 29th April. There’s no guarantee that all entries submitted will make it to the voting stage of the competition.

 

The information and pictures of your car you provide (apart from personal info such as car registration) may be used by Safely Insured for marketing purposes.
