Q&A with Daniel…

He also spoke with Daniel himself about all things car related. What we found incredibly interesting is that Daniel carries out all the work on his car himself. In his own words: “I have always worked on my own cars, couldn’t afford the labour rates 😊”. Here’s what else he had to say…

What was the first car you ever owned?

“My first car was a 1.0 litre Volkswagen Polo 6N.”

How many cars have you owned in total?

“In total I’ve owned 7 cars.”

What’s been your favourite car to drive?

“Mitsubishi Evo 5 GSR – 550bhp, without a doubt!”

What car would you own if money was no object?

“It would have to be an R34 GTR V-spec. I simply love these cars and everything about them!”

Do you ever attend any car shows?

I haven’t attended any for a while but the last show I went to was the ‘BMW Show’ at Santa Pod. It was a great day out!

Do you participate in any forums to talk to fellow car enthusiasts?

Yes, I regularly use the ‘SXOC’ forum, which is mainly a 200sx forum.

If you could drive on any race track in the world, what track would it be?

It would have to be the ‘Suzuka’ race track in Japan.

What’s more important for you; visual modifications, or engine modifications?

In my opinion, there’s no point in ‘all show no go’ so it would simply have to be engine modifications. My car is no ‘show pony’.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to modify a car (for the first time)?

Do what you want to do and don’t let anybody put you down or tell you that you can’t do something. The best thing I ever did was give everything a go myself, and I wouldn’t change a thing!

What’s your favourite motorsport?

I love controlled motorsports, so it would have to be rallying and drifting.

Who’s your favourite F1 driver?

The favourite for me at the moment is Kimi Raikkonen. Why? Because the guy is absolutely hilarious!
