As of June 2016, Ford recorded their highest ever sales on record for vehicle, car, and commercial vehicle sales.

The chairman and managing director of Ford of Britain, Andy Barratt, commented, “Sales remain surprisingly strong, despite the market hiatus around the referendum”. He then goes on to talk about the performance based models. He commented: “It’s a very busy time and, going into the summer, we are looking forward to full availability of the newly announced ST-line model range of Fiesta, Focus, and Mondeo.”

They do not simply produce a couple of models within their different ranges. They create numerous models within their numerous ranges to prove that their marque is versatile, durable, and adaptable. They also prove to be market leaders in many of the market segments in which their cars are placed.

Ford: the statistics

Some of the main highlights for them in June 2016 included:

• 41,284 total vehicle sales
• Fiesta is the UK best-seller

5 models from its range are currently within the ‘UK top 20’:

• Fiesta
• Focus
• Transit Custom
• Kuga
• Transit

The leaders in their segments include:

• Fiesta
• Focus
• C-MAX
• Galaxy
• Fiesta Van
• Transit Connect
• Transit Custom
• Transit
• Ranger

Ford: for Young Drivers

Also in June, there were 11,357 registrations for the Fiesta. In addition, 2,520 sales were made. The Fiesta is a great first car due to its low engine size, good safety rating and lower insurance group rating.

Ford: for Performance Cars

The broad customer appeal also extends to the performance car range, with the Mustang being within the top third place of its segment. In June alone, there were also 4,500 for the Focus RS. Performance cars are great but Ford makes them durable and affordable, as sales prove. For these types of vehicles, a Performance Car Insurance policy would ensure that all the specifics are covered on the car, as opposed to a standard car insurance policy.
