If you’re a fan of the Toyota GT86, then you’ll love what Terry has done with his. It was even featured in a 2016 edition of ‘Japanese Performance Magazine’. Yes, the car is modified but he hasn’t gone over-the-top with the modifications. However, he hasn’t understated its capabilities either. He decided to carefully select the modifications that would enhance the best features on the car. Not only does the car look great, but the performance side of things definitely gets a thumbs up from us also!

Terry’s Toyota GT86 is a 2.0 litre power machine that is currently running at around 300BHP. We can discuss more of the specifics about the modifications soon, but first, let’s find out a bit of background information on the guy behind the wheel…

An introduction to Terry…

Terry took some time out of his busy work schedule to speak with us about the best thing in the world – cars. He spoke about first realising when he was into cars, the first car he owned, and what car he would buy if money was no object. Here’s what he had to say:

“I first got into cars when I was 15 years old. Me and a friend picked up a Mini Cooper MK1 for just £100 and started tinkering with it. We did this so we would have a car when we learnt to drive. As a result, the first car I ever owned was that Mini Cooper – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Despite not regretting my choice of first car, if you were to ask me now (of course) as to what car I would own if money was no object, I would have to say the Nissan GT-R. I mean, come on, who wouldn’t want to own one? I just think they are fantastic cars.”

So, the modifications… what do they include? Well, these are some of the modifications that Terry has had installed:

• Kraftwerks supercharger
• Airlift performance air suspension
• Carbon bonnet and boot carbon wing
• Carbon front splinter
• Focal speaker front JL audio subwoofer
• ECU remap with Fensport
• Red interior lighting

Terry commented that he regularly uses ‘Fensport’ to complete the work on his car. He knows them, he trusts them, and they always do a great job.

We also wanted to know whether he has any plans to further modify the car in the future and he said yes… yipee! He stated that he will be looking at forging the engine for more power – watch this space!

And finally, we asked Terry what advice he would give to someone who wants to modify a car for the first time, he replied: “Take your time, read reviews on parts, and do your research before buying.”
