In February, we announced that we were running a ‘Modified Car Video Competition’ in association with CarThrottle. Since then, we’ve had many entries and we’re still deciding on the best modified car video. The winner will WIN £500 + the car will be chosen to have the full CarThrottle Video Review treatment by CarThrottle’s very own Alex Kersten.

We thought now would be a good time to show you some of the entries we’ve had. Take a look at just how modified some of these cars are…

Modified Car Video Competition Entries

Sumil’s Modified BMW E39 530i Champagne Individual

This car has had numerous modifications added to it, such as: Gruppe M Carbon Ram Air Filter, Custom Ciroc Vodka Glass Washer Jet Bottle, Custom Demon Eye, and Double Projectors.

It’s also had work done on the exterior, this includes: Custom front bumper consisting of CSL front splitter moulded in, Hamann fog light covers blended in, number plate delete, E92 bonnet bulge, BMW badge delete, windscreen washer jet re-allocation, AC Schnitzer rear roof spoiler, Custom boot lid with small recess for number plate, CSL spoiler blended in to the boot lid, rear spoiler and M5 wing mirrors – power folding.

In addition, the wheels have been enhanced, they now feature: 19” Hartge Design C (Originally ‘Design E’ but custom re-drilled), fronts = 19 x 10.25”, rears = 19 x 10.75”, and are wrapped in Falken 453/s.

Other modifications include those to the suspension: Full air lift with v2 management, custom painted red tanks, and gold hard-lines. They also include modifications in relation to ICE: JL 1200/1 HD, JL 600/4 HD, 2 x 10JLW7AE Subwoofers, and KnuKonceptz Wiring.

Michael’s Modified Toyota Supra

Michael’s modified car instantly grabs your attention with the ‘liquid yellow’ paint work. Other modifications he’s added to the car include: DO-LUCK front bumper, TRAIL rear bumper smoothed, BLITZ Side Skirts smoothed, TRD spoiler with carbon blade, GANADOR door mirrors, new FMIC, custom bonnet vents, tinted windows, aerial removed and smoothed, internal aerial fitted to windscreen, rear wiper and jet removed and smoothed, arches rolled, wheels spaced out, dash sprayed, APR carbon fibre radiator cooling plate, carbon fuse box cover and other engine ‘bling’.

Ewan’s Modified Mazda MX5

Ewan has taken great pride in keeping his car clean and presentable. He’s also taken pride in the modification work that the car has had done to it. Ewan explained that just some of the modifications on the car include the following: rota grid wheels, Nankang tyres, Meister R coils, installation of a GCF roll bar, Sparco sprint bucket-seats, and OMP deep dish wheels.

Photis’ Modified Mitsubishi Pajero

The work on Photis’ modified car include: new paint work, 2800 Intercooler Turbo, wide rims (15×12), and Recaro Evo seats. This is Photis’ daily car and has commented that since the modification work took place, the car has driven (mechanically) like it’s new.

Lewis’ Modified Honda Civic Type R FN2

Lewis has big hopes for his Honda Civic Type R FN2. At this point in time, he has tackled the following modifications: visual modifications (such as the fog light tint), front and rear JD neochrome tow hooks, refurbished wheels (white glitter effect), stickers, and other enhancements, such as those which have improved the BHP of his car. Lewis hopes to continue modifying the car in the future… we can’t wait to see the outcome!

Alex’s Modified Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R

Alex’s R33 is a 630BHP, 2.8 litre, machine. The list of modifications is so long, are you ready for them? Here we go… the list of modifications include: HKS VCAM, HKS head, HKS 2530-KAI turbos, HKS FMIC, HKS oil cooler, Tein super circuit suspension with Tein EDFC active pro, Quaife diff, R35 brembo brakes with AP racing j hook discs, VOLK TE37Sl wheels with Michelin pilot super sports, NISMO bracing and dampners, DO-luck body kit and bracing, Cusco roll cage, Recaro carbon fibre seat, Link ecu, Getrag gearbox, Ansu 800cc fuel injectors and custom rail, Garage-D swirl pot and twin aero fuel pumps, Do-luck torque controller, HKS oil cooler, Greddy BOV, AMUSE R1000 titanium exhaust, and Nardi steering.

Carl’s Modified Honda S2000

Carl’s modifications on his Honda S2000 include : a Supercharged Ls2, Ls7 camshaft valve springs, rocker tr-union upgrade, T56 gearbox, Nissan S15 diff, custom prop and shafts, cosmis xt006r wheels, 255 tyres front 295 tyres rear, circuit garage overfenders, fiat cinquecento radiators for charge cooling exchangers with lots more supporting modifications.
