Xquisite are a unique company who can carry out pretty much any work you want done on your car (besides work on the engine). They carry out: both external and internal modification work, high-end accident repair, modified accident repair, and restorations. To be more precise, they specialise in every single aspect of modification work. From the paintwork and high-end audio installations, to complete custom-made vehicles. They work on many different types of cars, such as: low-vehicle vehicles, high-value vehicles, prestige vehicles, classic cars, and promotional transport.

How experienced are they? Well they’ve got 14 years’ worth of experience behind them, so it’s probably safe to say that they know a thing or two about what they’re doing.

Xquisite

We put a few questions to the Managing Director, Kay, who was happy to talk us through what goes on at Xquisite…

What types of cars do you perform work on?

“We can literally work on anything and everything. We have such a huge variety of cars and vehicles here, so I wouldn’t necessarily say that there was more of one type of car compared to another. One day we might be working on a Citroen Saxo, the next day it could be a Rolls Royce Ghost.”

What’s the most expensive car you’ve ever worked on?

“We worked on, what was at the time, the world’s most expensive hyper – the ‘W Motors Lykan Hypersport’. We actually created the custom door hinges and locking mechanism for the prototype car. It was a crowning moment for us. You can see this car on Fast and Furious 7 being driven off of a building!”

What’s the most expensive modification you’ve ever added to a car?

“Tricky question, probably the complete custom body-kit we fabricated for a Mercedes AMG GTS. It left every panel untouched!”

What car, in your opinion, is the best to modify?

“I don’t think there is a best car as such. Really, any car would be fine to modify, it just depends what you like the look of. Amongst the 13 of us that work here, we prefer cars that are unique – just to stand out from the norm.”

What does it take to work at your workshop?

“We don’t always look for people with experience as what we do is so unique that normal skill sets aren’t always necessary. You would need common sense, and a drive to try new things (in a creative way)!”

Do you have any advice for someone who wants to modify a car for the first time?

“Just enjoy yourself. Don’t do anything to endanger other road users or anyone in your car. Always make sure you use reputable companies too!”

What advice would you want to give to someone wanting to go into an engineering / mechanical career?

“Study hard and work hard. Learn and understand your industry to the best of your ability and always push to be the best. Not everyone looks for people with experience, so sometimes the right attitude is much more important. Also, don’t be put off if you have some setbacks, it’s just part of life. Keep going with your end goal in sight! :)”

Great words of wisdom from Kay there at Xquisite. We would like to take this time to say a huge thanks to him for talking us through various aspects of the work they do daily, as well as providing advice for anyone wanting to modify their car, or go into a career of modifying cars, in the future.
