Modified car of the month for January 2019: The Subaru Impreza WRX

In January 2019, the most popular modified car we put on cover was the Subaru Impreza WRX.

The WRX and WRX STI versions of the Subaru Impreza are the performance-orientated versions. They give out more power thanks to their turbochargers.

So, what makes this car such a popular one amongst our customers? Let’s find out…

The Subaru Impreza WRX

Since 1992, there has been many WRX / WRX STI models put into production. They’ve proved so popular that they have been used in Motorsport, rally championships and even by the police. For each generation of Impreza, Subaru made sure there was a WRX model, with some generations having a WRX STI model also.

It’s no surprise these cars are popular. They’re robust, they sound great, and they come with a considerable amount of power as standard, before you even start the modifying.

They managed to stand the test of time all the way from 1992-2018. In 2018, the final edition (the 2.5i WRX STI) was launched and only 150 units were produced. Despite the cars no longer being in production, there’s still many out there on the roads and in dealerships across the country!
